We promise to give all children equal opportunities!
We promise to keep our classes small enough to ensure that each child can shine. We will get to know them, their favourite songs and musicals so we can really spark their interest and grow their confidence.
Our key term is inclusivity - we ensure that no child is left in the wings!

Who We Are
Hi! I'm Elysia, and the founder and main teacher for Upstage!
I believe that all children should be given a safe environment to shine, which is why I ensure that every group is a team. I encourage all of the children to work together and support each other, building confidence from the inside.
I was trained in Bristol and completed my Diploma with LAMDA in Acting and LCM in Musical Theatre. I have taken part in operas, including Aida, Nabucco and La Boheme and local musicals, including Cats, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chicago and Guys and Dolls! I was part of a dance and entertainment troupe who performed all around the South West, and still have the occasional job.
I moved back to Torquay in 2016 simply because I missed it. Torquay has always been home, and I am so happy to be back.

Summer 2023 - An adaptation of a very famous story involving a young lion who has a lot to learn on the path to becoming king!
We made our own head pieces for each of our characters, and main set pieces. The show was around an hour long, and included 6 musical numbers!
All of the children had multiple parts to play throughout the show, and they all sang solo! Some for the first time!
We are extremely proud of all the hard work they all put in and cannot wait to get started again in September!
